Festival of stitches is a fun color work pattern that will keep you engaged from start to finish. This shawl plays with three colors in combination with different textures and stitch patterns and some fun-to-knit colorwork elements.
There is lots of fun colorwork in this pattern, but it is only easy slipped stitches and color blocking. No stranded or fair aisle. Yay mosaic! There are some cables, eyelets, and stripes but no super complicated techniques.
First done in April as a mystery knit-a-long. It uses a fingering weight yarn in three contrasting colors. Good contrast between A and B will give the best results in this pattern, these will be used for the mosaic knitting. Color C can be lighter or darker contrast and will be used as an accent.
Class will meet on Tuesday nights for 5:00-6:30. Class dates are December 1st, 8th and 15th. We will take a break for the holidays and meet again in January 5th, 12th and 19th.
