We’re getting ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Join co-sponsors LambShoppe and Longmont Yarn Shoppe as we head to Scotland for the Edinburgh Wool Festival and so much more! Our two-week adventure begins Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in Edinburgh, Scotland. From there, we’ll enjoy a spectacular tour of the country with our very own Scotsman, Iain Scott. Also, international knitting teachers Ann Budd and Jennifer Miller will join us.
In addition to being a fun-loving knitaholic, Ann Budd is a freelance knitting editor, author, teacher, and designer. She has authored more than a dozen books, including the Handy Book series and many of the Style series, as well as several books on sock knitting, including Getting Started Knitting Socks, Sock Knitting Master Class, and New Directions in Sock Knitting. Ann is also the host of Knit For Fun Retreats, which are held twice a year in various locations across the United States. Jennifer is a yarn/color designer, creator of Theodora’s Pearls, nationally-known hand painted and hand-dyed fine fibers, utilizing unusual and luxury fibers. She’s a popular knitting instructor, including basic and advanced technique, knitwear design, and creativity and color design. She teaches and lectures on creativity, color design, knitting design, lacework, and more. She has served as a consultant to entrepreneurs on textiles, fibers, and colors. Jennifer has been working with fibers for many years, having learned fiber and color techniques from her mother and grandmother. Jennifer is an author and columnist on fiber dyeing at Fabrics.net, comprehensive fiber and fabric website.

Iain is a native of West Scotland, who graduated from Stirling University after studying history. He has a background in sales and marketing with comprehensive knowledge of two industries important to Scotlands economy; Scotch whisky and golf. His career took him all over his homeland and as a proud Scot he enjoys spreading the word about “probably the best little country in the world.” Iain has recently relocated to Lubbock, West Texas and has a business offering educational and entertaining whisky tastings, whisky, golf and Outlander tours of Scotland.
